Webb29 sep. 2024 · Tiny correction: After forcing the VT to the current one trying to switch is not needed to make the keyboard unresponsive. It's just not working but when i kill the XServer there will be garbage input in the originally running terminal. I also actually have an idea how to fix it but it won't be nice. Webb10 juni 2016 · startx doesn't "use" xming. xming is an X server; startx launches its own (different) X server. Are you just trying to launch a graphical environment? If so, you don't need to run startx if you already have xming installed and configured. You can just directly run the applications that you want to run.
